Little Blondies

I am still at my at my parents' house.  There are so many old pictures everywhere. I've been having fun looking through them.  It makes me realize how strong the genes run through my mom's side of the family.  Take a look at this fun.

Here is my mom as a baby.

Here is super fat me, rocking the cuteness (in a dress my mom made).

Now check out this bit of fun.  Here is my Aunt Robin.

Here is me.

Here is my daughter.

Whoa! I think we are all definitely related.

Mother's Day

I've waited years for this day.  YEARS! It is finally here.  I am a mother on Mother's Day. I walked in to the nursery this morning and saw this little smiling face looking at me.

Life is good.  Thank you God for this baby.

Easter Dress

One of the many benefits of working at The Sewing Circle was that I was always surrounded by many talented and creative people.  This year for Easter, I was so excited for the baby to wear a dress that was handmade by a teacher from the store, Jo Barley.

Jo did such a beautiful job.  Look at the intricate embroidery on the collar.  I especially love the little bird button she included.   The smocking was done by hand.  Hand smocking!  It's beautiful!

Even the back of the dress was amazing.

She didn't just attached the buttons, she attached them with tiny little flowers. What?! That is awesome.

Here is the little cutie pie wearing the dress.

I even love the little ruffles on the bloomers.  It's so cute to see with that little baby leg chunk.

Family photo at church.  That's my parents with us.  It was so fun that they could come and visit for Easter.

Baby bloopers: "What? You want a nice picture of me in my Easter dress?  Well I would rather munch on grass."

A blessed Easter season to you all!

Coordinated Babies

When Emily and I were kids, our mom dressed us in coordinating outfits on many occasions.  We decided to do the same to the babies while she and my niece were here for the week.  The fun part about this (for us) was that we didn't plan any of this ahead of time (except for the pink polka dots).  We just found what we could in my daughter's stash of mostly hand-me-down clothes.  Because that is the thrifty thing to do.

Monday: Fun t-shirts with jeggings.

Tuesday: Pink polka dot rompers with bunny pockets. These were actually a gift from my mom and Grandma for Christmas. It is super fun when the girlies receive matching outfits.

Wednesday: It was Ash Wednesday so we had to dress them in purple.

Thursday: We had their portraits taken at JC Penny with these little dresses.  This is their post-portrait, turn-the-dresses-into-play-clothes and hit the thrift store outfits.

Friday: Hanging around the house in pastel shirt and pants sets.

Saturday: Brown and pink.

Other notable outfit fun: Jammies and snowsuits.

Baby Bloopers: Just in case you thought life with two coordinated babies was always perfect ;-)
